Developing a comprehensive supply chain strategy in such a complex and dynamic operating environment requires a thorough understanding of market forces and a constant evaluation of demand and supply threats and opportunities. Dr. Mahender Singh is a Research Director for the MIT Supply Chain 2020 Project, a multi-year research effort looking into the future of logistics and supply chain management. His research and teaching focus on operations and supply chain management, with particular interest in exploring the underlying structure of complex supply chains. Dr. Singh has over ten years of experience in the field of supply chain management and has worked on multiple global supply chain projects to analyze and redesign planning systems. He has taught Operations Management at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he received his Ph.D.; he is also a graduate of MIT-CTL's Master of Engineering in Logistics Program.
