A number of pressure points are impacting the long term outlook for the supply chain landscape including volatile oil prices, transportation infrastructure constraints, turmoil in the credit markets and an economic recession. Supply chain networks and distribution strategies that were designed during the era of cheap oil are being redesigned by forward thinking companies that are planning and implanting new strategies to improve service levels and reduce reliance on fuel. This presentation provides a look at what a few of the leaders are doing with their supply chain strategy.

Marc Wulfraat is the author of 'How to Conduct a Supply Chain Strategy' and has 22 years of experience in supply chain consulting; managing numerous strategic, operational and technology consulting mandates. Marc has extensive skills in managing complex projects involving supply chain strategy and optimization, product sourcing strategy, distribution center design and implementation, facility resets, materials handling systems, operational evaluations, warehouse technologies and logistics software applications. Marc has been a speaker at over 30 logistics events and has contributed many articles to industry publications.
Marc has a B.Sc., Mathematics and an MBA from McGill University.
