Drew Schramm is the Senior Vice President, Global Supply & Logistics, for Herman Miller, Inc. Herman Miller is a contract furniture manufacturer located in Zeeland, Michigan with annual revenues of over $2.0 billion. Schramm has global accountability for enterprise wide supply management and logistics activities. He has been with Herman Miller since 1998. In recent years, Schramm has led a re-engineering of the supply team. His current strategy, The First Mile, is the start of a long-term strategy to integrate key suppliers and eliminate waste in the value stream between the companies, through the use of continuous improvement principles. Schramm has recently taken on responsibility for creating a global logistics capability, also utilizing lean principles to reduce waste between Herman Miller at its customers.
Schramm is a strong advocate and a steering member of Herman Miller's Design for Environment protocol. He has led the development of a sustainable supply base over the last several years. Schramm is a member of the Institute for Supply Management's (ISM) Sustainability and Social Responsibility Committee.
Previously, Schramm has worked with Praxair Industrial Gases, Abbott Laboratories and Avon Cosmetics in supply management as well as operational roles.
Schramm has an undergraduate degree in Business and in Economics from Rutgers College. Schramm obtained his MBA, in 1994 from Lake Forest Graduate School of Business in Lake Forest, Illinois.
