TRACK 3  SESSION 6
Managing Supply Chain Risk
Tuesday, September 15th : 10:15am - 11:15am
When planning for brighter tomorrows, supply chain risk should be front-and-center on the list of issues that merit the attention of business leaders. Failure to address a company's vulnerability to disruptions can result in catastrophic losses and a potential collapse in customer and supplier confidence. In addition, a firm's financial performance is reliant on its ability to mitigate risk. Firms therefore need to identify and confront their enterprise, financial, and operational risks, and use an integrated approach to manage these weaknesses across the business. Few, if any, companies currently have done so. If managed effectively, risk management could be the differentiating resilience for sustained competitive advantage.
