Beyond preventative maintenance is predictive maintenance. Beyond predictive maintenance is maintenance optimization. This class will review ISO 9001 quality management and Certified QA procedures and show how they can apply to your maintenance programs. We will demonstrate the preparation of in-house and vendor audit checklists to foster continuous improvement in your maintenance program. By session end, you will be able to incorporate proven QA Audit checklists to iteratively refine higher and higher standards of maintenance professionalism and reliability.

Phil Schofield - Outsourced Maintenance Department Manager HK Systems

Phil has been with HK Systems for 5 year, and holds a BS degree in economics and minor studies in construction management. Phil's background is in industrial and petro-chemical maintenance and operations. He has worked as a contractor for Exxon, Texaco & Orion Refining, and as a Terminal Manager for Kinder Morgan in Portland, Or. and New Orleans, La.
Phil's education and experience have provided experience in facility management, operations, production, maintenance management, planning & scheduling and safety. Phil also has experience in environmentally and safety sensitive workplace applications. He has planned operational activities and scheduled and executed site and plant maintenance programs and construction projects that maintained and operated plant equipment, processed/ handled/ loaded and transported a variety of products that have ranged from aircraft parts to various bulk products and chemicals.
Phil has also planned, scheduled, managed and executed operations, maintenance and construction functions that ranged from a 24 hour/7 days a week/365 days per year to maintenance "shutdowns" that have lasted between 2 days to 18 weeks. He has experience with many components and pieces of production and plant equipment, and experience with the installation, utilization and administration of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (MP2, Smartware, Sprocket, Maximo) as well as MS planning and scheduling software.
