Installed Automated Library Systems Report Card

Each of the Automated Library Systems are unique unto themselves. This retrospective session will detail each of the 18 installed library systems including: size, collection data, software, operational statistics, staff size, location within the library, maintenance statistics including MTTR and MTBF. Analysis of this large body of actual performance data will help both users and practitioners down the path of continuous improvement.

Tom Steininger - Senior Solution Consultant HK Systems

Tom Steininger has been in the material handling industry for over 25 years with experience focusing on system design and implementation of material handling systems. In his current role as a Senior Solution Consultant, he is involved in the design of highly integrated solutions consisting of ASRS, AGV, general construction, gantries, carousels, and a variety of conveyor solutions.
In the automated library arena, Tom has been involved in the design of several systems for University Libraries throughout the United States, as well as in Canada and Australia.
